Photos from some charity events in other states
One of the concerns a couple people have mentioned to me is that 'bad' people will be playing poker and we don't need those 'types' of people gambling in Nebraska and in our community. Shown below are a few photos from poker charity events in other states. As you can see, there is quite a diverse crowd of poker players playing in these poker events. I'm pretty confident those 'bad' people aren't playing in these charity events and would probably head to the casinos where they can spend thousands of dollars. It also looks like they're all having a good time too. You don't see people sitting around and actually have a good time when they're spending money playing keno, poker and bingo. In those games they're simply gambling with the hope of winning money. Poker is a recreational activity that people consider the money they spend at it being similar to going to a movie or to a baseball game. It's a discretionary entertainment expense. They enjoy playing poker. They're helping a charity raise some money and they may end up winning some money themselves too.
